One day after finishing third, more consolation prizes are coming Germany’s way. Thomas Müller’s way to be precise.
He was already heavily favored to win the Hyundai(tm) Best Young Player Award, and was duly crowned by FIFA’s Technical Study Group today.
After both David Villa and Wesley Sneijder failed to score – or assist three goals – Müller alsowon the adidas(tm) Golden Boot with 5 goals and 3 assists.
He follows in the footsteps of Lukas Podolski and Miroslav Klose, completing a back-to-back awards sweep for the German team.
